A Gem Studded Throne was consecrated to Nagadeep Viharaya by Mr. Nilanka Silva who lives in Moratuwa, on Full Moon day of Poson. This Gem Studded Throne built with wooden of Margosa (Kohomba) and 484 gems have been used to decorate it. History said that Chulodara & Mahodara consecrated their Gem Studded Throne to Lord Buddha. Nagadeepa Rajayathana Stupaya was built to treasure this Gem Studded Throne. Therefore people will not be able to see and worship it visibly. Mayor of Moratuwa consecrated the said valuable Gem Studded Throne which was made similar to Historical one, to Nagadeep Viharaya in the Presence of Commander Northern Naval Area.
