Preparing for the Vesak Festival 2021

Arrangements have been made to hold the 2565th State Vesak Festival this year at the Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya premises. It is planned to be inaugurated on 24th May 2021 under the patronage of His Excellency the President and the Prime Minister under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of Nagadeepa Rajamaha Vihara Most Ven, Brahmanawaththe Dhammakiththi Himi.

At the moment, all constructions and development processes are being conducted by Sri Lanka Navy under the supervision of the Chief Incumbent of Nagadeepa Rajamaha Vihara most ven. Nawandagala Padumakiththi Thero. Some of them are, 

​

• Reconstruction of the pier of Nagadeepa entrance

• Reconstruction of the main road of the temple

• Paining all statues, buildings, walls and other constructions. 

• Newly building of Buddha statue and Vihara Mandira

• Reforming of electricity and water supply for the temple
