His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open the Nagadeepa Pier on 12th February 2013. He was received by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage on arrival. Chief Incumbent of the Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Vihara, Ven. Nawadagala Padumakitti Thera and Secretary of Defence & Urban Development, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa were also among the distinguished gathering that was present on the occasion.
